Deploying "IBM Operational Decision Manager Pattern V8.0" with IBM PureApplication Server

This presentation provides an overview of the "IBM Operational Decision Manager Pattern V8.0" offering. This offering provides pre-optimized patterns that speed up the setup of complex and highly-available IBM ODM environments within the cloud. Discussion will focus on the installation of the product into the virtual image catalog, basic customization of the patterns, the deployment of the patterns into the cloud, review of the deployment, service of the product within the cloud, and diagnostic information provided within the cloud environment. Note: This presentation does not delve into the detailed usage of the deployed IBM ODM product.

A short history of the predecessor products is provided, but the talk assumes prior knowledge of the product set and only addresses the new features. Enhancements have been made in the areas of business user empowerment, programmatic management of rules, better representation of contents for events and enhanced capabilities for using rules from COBOL on z/OS, including from IMS transactions. The format of the session is mainly presentations with some use of demos.
