Important News for Business Partners with approved Value Advantage Plus and/or Value Advantage Plus for Government Sales solutions!
In November 2015, IBM notified Business Partners there would be upcoming changes to the SVP Authorized Product Groups in 2016. These changes will take place on April 18, 2016. At that time, new SVP Product Groups will be implemented and Business Partner PartnerWorld profiles will be updated with the new authorizations for these Product Groups.
Business Partner software solutions approved for Value Advantage Plus and Value Advantage Plus for Government will automatically be updated to reflect the new Product Group authorizations. Business Partners do not need to take any action to update their existing solutions.
Existing VAP Government Solution opportunity registrations will not be updated to reflect the new SVP Authorized Distribution Product Groups. IBM will honor opportunity registrations previously submitted and approved for eligibility.
When submitting new VAP Government or VAP Standard Solution Incentive opportunity registrations for eligibility approval, Business Partners must select the new SVP Authorized Product Group component record. Business Partners are advised to refer to the Distributed Software Price Book to ensure the appropriate component record(s) that align to the brand family revenue records are attached to their opportunity registration.
The SVP website provides additional information about the Product Group changes, including an on demand webcast, Frequently Asked Questions, a list of the new Product Groups and which products are moving to each of them. Business Partners are strongly advised to refer to the IBM SVP website to listen to the on demand webcast and review the documentation.
