You use the IBM Global Partner Portal to register deals. This is an application that allows you to submit your opportunities for participation in the IBM Software Value Incentive (SVI). The system provides a secure environment to submit your opportunities.
Access IBM Global Partner Portal
You will receive access once you have been approved for SVI and a profile has been created in the IBM Global Partner Portal system. The IBM Global Partner Portal administrator will notify you when this is completed.

- Documentation can be attached with your submissions to expedite claims for influencing and selling activities.
- You can view the status of all registered opportunities.
- You can secure your opportunity records.
Products are those products ordered under the IBM Passport Advantage program, either IBM Passport Advantage or IBM Passport Advantage Express and that IBM has designated as 'new license' part numbers.
The list of the eligible new license part numbers and their associated brand families is posted in the IBM Global Partner Portal online help.
Monthly GPP Brand Family Updates - GPP is typically updated a week prior to the publishing of the SVI Eligible New License Part Numbers list. This can cause a mis-match between the brand families found in GPP and the brand families on the SVI Eligible New License Part Number list when the IBM Brands (Rational, WebSphere, ICS etc) add a new brand family or change the name to coincide with changes in the market place. This file GPP Mapping (PDF, 111KB) will assist with the mapping until the SVI Eligible New License Part Number list is published. There will be times when there are no changes and the brand families are frozen in December and January.
Effective May 20, 2014 IBM is introducing an alternative way to receive the SVI Fee payment when the end user customer has been designated as General Business (Enterprise Non-Select or MidMarket) and additional requirements are met.

A completed BANT form (ZIP, 31.3KB) (Open with Microsoft Word) must be uploaded to the 'Attachments' tab in IBM Global Partner Portal on each opportunity record when submitting for SVI eligibility consideration. The purpose of this document is to provide enough details about your SVI opportunity to enable the IBM SVI team to distinguish the differences in potential duplicate registrations for the same brand families within the same customer account. You should only register validated opportunities for the SVI program; a validated opportunity is one where you have made at least one sales call and know the customer's budget, authority, need and timeframe (BANT).
