Nominate your most innovative solution for a 2012 Information Management Business Partner Award

The IBM Information Management Business Partner Awards recognize Business Partners who have demonstrated excellence in delivering exceptional business value with Information Management software. You are encouraged to submit nominations for the following categories:

Information Management Solution Excellence Award

The Information Management Solution Excellence Award recognizes one IBM Business Partner who has adopted and leveraged the latest Information Management technology to demonstrate a unique and powerful Information On Demand solution. The solution must already have been deployed to at least one customer location that can be referenced.

CTO Innovation Award

The CTO Innovation award recognizes one visionary IBM Business Partner who is leading the charge in exploiting Information Management’s latest capabilities in innovative, cutting-edge, unique and exciting new ways. The one-of-a-kind solution selected will be a driver in tomorrow's markets, fostering new innovation at an ingenuity level outside the normal boundaries seen today. It is not required that the solution be deployed in the market.

Rookie of the Year Award

This category recognizes the outstanding performance and value-add provided by a Business Partner who is NEW to selling Information Management software, in other words, a ROOKIE. Nominations for this category must be submitted by your Business Partner Representative or other IBM employee.

Completed nominations must be submitted by September 6, 2012. Winners will be invited to a special reception at the Information On Demand 2012 Conference and be recognized throughout the week of the event, October 21 - 25, 2012, Las Vegas, NV. With over 11,000 attendees expected at the conference, an award can bring you much deserved recognition amongst customers, prospects and the Information Management community.

New ‘Ready to Execute’ integrated demand generation campaigns for Information Management

Webcast replay: IBM acquisition of Vivisimo enhances big data opportunity

In May, IBM announced the closing of its acquisition of Vivisimo, Inc. (link resides outside of will enhance IBM's Big Data platform by providing unique federated discovery and navigation capabilities that will accelerate clients' ability to get deep insight from Big Data. According to an analyst at IDC, "...this is a very smart move for IBM and it indicates that unstructured information is going to play an increasing large role in the Big Data story that is playing out today."

Keep your skills valid by taking Information Management Solution Sales Mastery Test v4

As of January 31, 2012, M155 Information Management Solution Sales Mastery Test v3 is no longer being offered by Prometric. The skill earned from M155 will remain valid until September 30, 2012.

This sales mastery test is the most popular Information Management test, so if you previously used this test to qualify for Software Value Plus (SVP) authorization, please make sure you begin preparations to complete the replacement test. The next SVP revalidation takes place in February, so if you have not taken the new test by February 2013, you will no longer be qualified to resell.
